Why Marketing is Both an Art and a Science

Advertising–every business has this in their pipeline. Over time, the face of advertising has drastically changed, but the fact remains that businesses cannot do without it. It is a very celebrated industry on its own, with the number of advertising agencies competing for clients all over the world. In fact, the spending on advertising continues to increase. In 2016, the United States alone was able to spend more than $190 billion on this industry, according to Statista. There are even worldwide festivals and awarding ceremonies dedicated to celebrating the creative outputs of the advertising industries. However, although the ads themselves are considered artwork, the marketing plans and strategies of today are driven by data gathered using technology.
